Gingerbread Cookies

Baking these cookies at Christmas time is our tradition. From this recipe can you do a full box of Christmas biscuits. (about 200 pcs.)

I used: 1kg of flour, 380g of honey, 300g of sugar powder, 120g of butter, 4 eggs, 2spoon of baking powder, 1 spoon of cinnamon, and gingerbread powder.

I Mixed all ingredients together a day before. Put the dough into a plastic bag and let till next day in fridge. Plastic bag is needed to avoid drying.

Expand the dough on the board and using Pastry cutters make nice Christmas shapes.

Before I gave the cookies to bake, mash one egg and dope them. This makes a nice glaze on them.

You can also put in the middle of each Gingerbread Cookies one nut. I used a baking paper.

Preheat the oven to 190 C. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until nicely browned. Remove from cookie sheets and if you want, decorate them when cool.
